It also addresses the export of personal data outside the EU and EEA areas. What type of information we have:
Normal Like Me, will collect and store the parental, carer or legal guardians’ full names, email addresses, postal addresses and telephone contact numbers of the families who have a direct association to and with Normal Like Me. We will also hold the names and age (Day and Month only) of those who wish to impart sensitive information, for the purposes of imparting SEND research.

How we get the information and why we do we have it:
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons as set out below.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:
o Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting Normal Like Me at the above address.
o We have a vital interest.
o We have a legitimate interest.
Data will be collected from email and telephonic contact and or direct messages on Face Book.
The collected Data will be used to reconnect and or to reply to messages including any subsequent follow up correspondence. (Issuing pamphlets, guides, event information and more importantly sending out birthday correspondence.
Those who supply data, have a right to withdraw their consent at any time.

We use the information that you have given us in order to:
Data will be held on record if anyone who uses the Research Services partakes in media research or academic research for the purposes of National SEND Campaigns.
We may share your information (with consent) to any third party who is offering to use your data and or information for research/clinical diagnostic programmes and or media stories.
How we store your information:
Your Data will be stored on a secure (HTTPS) Server. Your Data will be securely stored by electronic encryption. You will be contacted for review consent every two years, either to update your Data or to have it deleted and securely destroyed.
Your Rights:
The lawful bases for processing are set out in Article 6 of the GDPR. Those necessarily for Normal Like Me, are as follows:
Consent: the individual has given clear consent for Normal Like Me, to process their personal data for a specific purpose as set put above.
Legitimate interests: the processing of Data is necessary for Normal Like Me’s legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of a third party, unless there is a good reason to protect the individual’s personal data which overrides those legitimate interests.
